Determine Guest Count -Max capacity is 275 for dining at our venue unless you have previously spoken to Oehme Oasis or have added to your package.
Set Your Budget -Tip: Finalized budget before booking vendors. It will be extremely helpful to you later in the planning process and should reduce stress. Include a 10% buffer in your budget for misc. items/tipping.
Book Hotel Room Block - *IF possible* Otherwise you may need to just book several rooms directly (nonchalantly see about their cancellation policies first) Nearby hotels book up quickly in some months of the year.
Book Vendors - Photographer, Videographer, Florist, Officiant, DJ, Caterer, etc.
If you plan on using a FULL style wedding planner, they are typically booked before booking a venue or immediately after.
Generally after booking a venue, photographers are booked next.
Next, I would book the remaining vendors in order of importance to you. If you are interested in working with DJ Ryan Hall or JL catering, both are here at Oehme Oasis frequently and do book earlier than some of the same vendors in their categories for our area. (Guests are always gathering their information/cards while they are onsite, so we are struggling at keeping them our little secret.
I would have the caterer booked at least 6 months prior to your wedding date unless you have a short engagement period.
Purchase Wedding Attire - Many dress shops have long lead times.

Create a Family Photo “Must-Have” List For Photographer - Refer to your WEVEN client portal and within your DOCUMENTS tab you will find a “Must Have Photo Check List.” That document is one that I personally send to couples prior to photographing their wedding day outside of Oehme Oasis. Feel free to print it as is, use it as a reference, or ignore it all together. *Note: Even if you don’t use the one provided within WEVEN, I urge you to create a list. If you don’t, you're extremely likely to miss important photos you’ll wish you had with family, and otherwise.
Set Shower and Party Dates -If you are considering using Oehme Oasis Party Bus for any of your events, we urge you reserve your date ASAP. There are some bookings 2+ years out already! Oehme Oasis will ask that you select a “Decision Maker for the Day.”
Determine who will be helping your bridal party line up to walk down the aisle. If you don’t have a planner, and you have NOT added on “Day of Task Management” through Oehme Oasis, we suggest a friend or family member, not in the wedding.

Finalize Seating Chart [Optional] -Oehme Oasis recommends SKIPPING a seating chart all together. Instead, we suggest reserving a select few tables for family/extra special guests. This will save a ton of hassle & headaches (+curse words) throughout your planning process. Reminder, if you do this, make sure to let those who you reserved a spot for know that you have reserved a spot for them…
Get Nails Done [Optional]
Clean Rings- We suggest bringing a cleaner with and doing a shine the morning of
Pack All “Details” Into One Box for Photographer (Jewelry, shoes, invites, etc.)
Rehearse Your Ceremony - Make sure parents/grandparents know their role too

Enjoy Your Wedding Day!-Take moments to stop & soak in your event throughout the day. Plus don’t forget to DRINK SOME WATER.
AFTER YOUR WEDDING: Send Thank You Cards & Write Vendor Reviews- If you had issues/suggestions for any vendor, (including Oehme Oasis) we urge you to bring them to the vendor’s attention directly, before posting it on Social Media. Most may not have even realized something was missed or disliked. *Note: Oehme Oasis typically reaches out a week or 2 after your big day to check in on you, gather some feedback (we love learning how we could better serve our couples) and to see how you liked the vendors, whether from our list or otherwise.
