Hi! We’re Austin & Ronelle Oehme. Founders & Owners of Oehme Oasis Wedding & Events Venue and we are SO glad you’re here!

Austin & I (Ronelle) met and went on our 1st date in July of 2019. We both "knew" by the end of that first night, butterflies were a real thing. By month four, Austin was already secretly designing an engagement ring; we were engaged at six months, married the following summer, and every day since, have been living a fairytale. It's almost too cliche to talk about.

But before all that, after the ring was on the finger (or maybe even before) our planning had begun! We immediately started touring venues all over MN & WI. Unfortunately, we weren’t finding what we were looking for. Either there wasn’t enough space to accommodate our large families, or they were way beyond our budget. **And if “The Venue” wasn’t over our budget, the vendors we had to use, were!**— We were feeling defeated.

Then, through "pre-marriage" life chats about goals, dreams, fears, family, finances, etc, I told Austin how owning and operating a wedding and event venue had always been a dream of mine. I assumed it was unattainable, so instead I became a photographer in 2007. One who specialized in weddings & events. This specific conversation happened in May of 2020. Later that month, we drove to a place we found on Zillow which had some "venue dream potential." Just to look! --Fast forward 3 months and you’d find us packed up, moved, and already sleeping at our new home!! The one now known all over the industry as OEHME OASIS WEDDING & EVENTS VENUE! —but it was by NO MEANS a “turnkey” property…

After an UNMEASURABLE amount of help from our family & friends, and almost a year of grinding like you couldn't believe, we surprised hundreds of friends & family members when we invited them to OUR OWN WEDDING in August 2021! People were shocked and in awe. Most guests didn’t even realize we moved the year prior. — Austin & I “quietly” rented out our previous home, started long commutes to work, and did whatever was needed to turn our dream into a reality. We built and remodeled "Oehme Oasis Wedding & Events" secretly, keeping it off social media platforms. —Then, during our welcome speech at our wedding, we said, "Welcome to Our Home" ... the rest of the night is a blur.

In 2022, our county board granted us full rezoning approval! Since then we’ve been blessed to share our property, knowledge, experience, tips, tricks & planning hacks with countless couples.
